Observatory Quest

Difficulty level: Easy, Members Only

Reward: 2 quest points, 2250 Crafting experience, 875 Strength experience, and other reward depends on which constellation you saw in the telescope (see the table at the end.)

Skills needed: Level 10 Crafting and be strong enough to kill a level 48 Guard.

Items needed: Molten Glass, 3 Planks, a bar of Bronze, an antipoison potion.

Start: Observatory Reception, south west of Ardougne.

Observatory Professor: He tells you that the Goblin residents have been causing trouble and tampered with his telescope. He asks you to collect 3 different items for him: three Planks, bar of Bronze and Molten glass. Ask the Assistant where to get these items from if you don't know. Give all items to the Professor and he will ask you to find his Lens Mould.

Lens Mould: Go down the ladder in the Observatory post, into dungeon. Nearly all of the chests in the dungeon are filled with poison spiders. The chest directly south-west (very close to the ladder you entered with) has one dose of cure poison potion, but It's safer to bring your own because you might not find it right away and become poisoned. 

Go to the N-E corner, continue west, next south, go along the path until you get to the most S-E corner. The chest here will contain the Keep key. Now go back and stop by the room with a bed, guarded by a level 42 goblin. Kill it and open the gate. Search the sacks to the West to find Lens Mould. Go back to Observatory post and give the Lens Maker to the Professor. Agree to help him make the Lens. Use simply Molten Glass on Lens Mould. The Professor will tell you now to meet him in the Observatory.

Observatory: Go back down to dungeon, follow you previous route to the key chest, and just before the last passage to the chest take the north-east passage to get to the ladder leading to the Observatory. Talk to Professor, look through the telescope and the Professor will reward you. 

Note 1: You can speak to the Assistant again and he will give you a jug of Wine. Look into the telescope again and you will see a strange symbol. 

Note 2: Speak to the Spirit of Scorpius, at the graveyard to the north. He will give you an Unholy Symbol Mould, which you can use to make silver Unholy Symbols of Zamorak. If he is asked, he will bless these symbols.
